What voice commands can you use with your Nest or Echo devices?
You can operate virtually every part of your Grand Rapids smart home with your favorite AI assistant. See the condition of your smart components, transfer to a preset mode, or minutely tweak a setting via user-friendly vocal commands. Or command your Nest or Echo speaker to schedule your system just like with the Vivint App.
Here’s a preview of a few voice commands you are able to give to Google or Alexa:
-
“Set my security system to away.”
-
“Latch the front door.”
-
“Turn off my bedroom light.”
-
“Did I leave the garage door open?”
-
"Keep a clip of my outdoor camera."
-
"Lower the heat 3 degrees."
-
“Turn off the downstairs light in an hour.”
You can also program in cycles in your Alexa or Google Home mobile app that combine different devices. For instance, say "Google, I'm leaving," and arm your alarms, reduce the thermostat, and secure the doors. Or create a scene for "tv night" and ask your home to power off the lights and move the thermostat to to that perfect, cozy place.
